Fifth - I see that completely differently to you.. I see him trying to get up.. The copper coming closer and swinging his arm to keep him away rather than trying to get up and attack him.. It isn't a swing at him more a defensive fending off.. He was trying to get up and was probably expecting to be fried again.

00:00 to 00:11 seconds - cops point taser and pepper spray respectively and give repeated warnings to man
00:11 seconds - man points screwdriver at one of them and takes a step towards copper and other copper tasers him. Bloke then rolls around from impact of Taser
00:18 cop kicks knife away
00:23 man swings arm at cop and is then tasered again
00:37 man gets up again in direction of cop with taser and is tasered again
00:41 bloke gets up and jumps off bridge
At no point until 00:41 does the bloke try to "get away" from the coppers. He rolls around a few times after he's tasered but never tries to then walk away until 00:41
Each time he gets up he does so in direction of the coppers.
Not sure how anyone can watch that and think the bloke was trying to "get away" from them at any point

For those saying "why didn't they just restrain him, police are all too cowardly blah blah"... there appeared to be only two of them. You need to use a lot of force on someone to get cuffs on them when they don't comply when there are only two of you and especially when the bloke concerned is a big ####er and clearly high and/or going through a psychotic episode.
You are MORE LIKELY to cause injury to the bloke by two of you going in and trying to pin him down than by tasering him.
Using taser is the safest thing to do where you don't want the bloke to run off (and potentially attack a member of the public), you don't want him to get injured and you want to minimise risk to yourself.

They did try and detail him FFS.
They had the cuffs out and were trying to put them on but the geezer kept flailing about and trying to get up. What do you want to do. Kneel on him? Oh yeah, that always goes down well with the fucking lefties.
So they tasered him again to try and get him to comply. Same thing. Then he got up and jumped off a fucking bridge.
What do you want to them to do? Be less excessive with the taser but more excessive with their brute force? Or more excessive with the taser and less excessive with brute force? Or hit him with a cosh? Pepper spray him?
I just cannot see what your point is.

There's an argument that that's a reason for so many police shootings in America, that these days yank coppers aren't trained/ready for a scrap so their first recourse when scared or threatened is to shoot

To be honest, this is one time they got it just right.
If the bloke had got up and sprinted off and attacked someone else (as mentioned mental folk can have super strength) we'd all be on here saying "why didn't they taze him again".
Its sad watching someone who's lost their mind but people in that state are immune to reason or even force.
Feel for the bloke and his family but hope to god the coppers aren't disciplined. Cos if they are, in future plod will be even more reluctant to tackle dangerous situations, which is bad for everybody
